Create Your Routine: Make an open-format DJ routine showcasing your party-rocking skills.

Keep It Short: Your routine should be no longer than 60 seconds.

Record It: Perform your routine on camera and share it as an Instagram Reel and/or TikTok, using the hashtag #HeadliningDJChallenge.

Pro Tip: For the best sound quality, record the audio directly from your mixer or controller and sync it to your video so it’s clean and pristine!

How old do I need to be to enter? ↓

Be at least eighteen (18) years of age, at the time of entry. Individuals under the age of eighteen (18) are strictly prohibited from entering.

Can I enter from outside the U.S.? ↓

No, you must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of entry and, if selected as a winner, throughout the performance period, and provide satisfactory evidence thereof upon request as a condition to continued eligibility and prize receipt. Winners will be required to provide valid, completed tax documentation prior to receiving any prize. Participants are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable laws in their jurisdiction of residence.

Can I submit more than once? ↓

No, only one entry will be considered. Submitting multiple entries may result in disqualification.

Do I need to show my face? ↓

Yes.

Can I use prerecorded audio? ↓

No, your entry should feature live performed audio.

How are winners selected? ↓

Entries will be judged by the teams of Beatport, DJcity, Slacker Media Group, and the three guest judges. See the criteria above for details on how entries will be judged.

When are winners announced? ↓

Winners will be announced the week following the submission deadline.

What genres are allowed? ↓

All genres are encouraged. This is an open format competition so we want to see musical diversity in your set!
